    Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety provides you with the skills to lead and manage WHS in a practical manner. 

    This course will help you improve on existing policies and procedures or create new ones as your businesses WHS issues continually evolve.

    You will learn the relevant industry knowledge in order to keep your workplace safely up to date, compliant and aligned with legislation. You will learn to easily identify and manage occupational health, hygiene and hazards in your place of work.

    This course also includes communication strategies to help you get the message of safety safely across to your team.

    The way you relay safety communication to your team will also have an impact on the overall attitude that staff have towards safety.

    Completing this course will take you to the next level as you develop your career pathway and will open doors to become an expert in your field.

    Upon successful completing this course, you will have the skills and knowledge to effectively manage and implement workplace health and safety protocols. You will be proficient in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. You will be prepared to take on roles such as Work Health and Safety Officer, Safety Advisor, or Safety Coordinator.

    All of the following requirements apply to enter this course:

    • Must be over the age of 18 years when your course starts
    • Complete Auctus enrolment process
    • Successful completion of the LLN assessment
    • If required, complete a Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) assessment and/or the Upfront Assessment of Need
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Subsidised training fee is $1,490.

    (In order to receive the Government Funding, you MUST be under a contract of training with an employer. For further information please head to the Skills SA Information Booklet).

     

    Current Commonwealth concession card holders fee is $745.

    • Veterans Affairs Concession Card

     

    Full fee is $3,950.

    (full fee applies when you are unable to access government funding).

    For Individuals:

    To enrol in a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety course, a trainee can be employed in a role which offers practical and supervised experience directly related to the qualification. As a trainee, once you have secured your job, you can request for Auctus to be your preferred training provider during the training contract sign-up with your Australian Apprenticeship Centers (AAC) representative.

     

    For Employers:

    If you are an employer and would like to consider Auctus as your training provider, please contact us for more information and guidance through the whole process. Auctus can assist you in a number of ways, such as;

    • information on employing or hosting a trainee
    • collaboration with Australian Apprenticeship Centers
    • provide your business trainees with Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety training

     

    For Australian Apprenticeship Centers (AAC's):

    If you are a registered Australian Apprenticeship Center (AAC) and would like to learn more about Auctus' training and course delivery and how it would benefit your clients please feel free to contact us.

    If your training is subsidised, the South Australian Government pays part of your course fees for you. The money goes straight to your training provider, so you can focus on your training. You will be required to pay only the co-contribution.

    You may be eligible for subsidised training if you live or work in South Australia, and you are:

    • an Australian or New Zealand citizen
    • a permanent Australian resident, or
    • an eligible visa holder

    Yes, employment status does not impact your eligibility to access government subsidised training.

    No, you do not need to hold a concession card.

    Every learner studying in a nationally recognised training organisation must meet the criteria which includes completing the Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment as part of the requirements to access Government subsidised funding for each course they enrol in. Subsidised funding cannot be accessed without the completion of the LLN test.
