Choosing the right training organisation to complete your Certificate III in Individual Support can be a challenging task, given the number of options available. However, it's important to note that not all training organisations are the same, and some may be better suited to your needs than others.
We recommend you pick up the phone and call the organisation, have a conversation with the staff.
- Are they professional?
- Are they welcoming?
- Do they invite you in for a tour of the facility before you commit?
- Do they ask you questions about your end goals?
- Are they genuinely interested in YOU?
To ensure you are making an informed decision, consider the following:
Accreditation: Ensure that the training organisation is Nationally Recognised. This means even if you move to a different State your qualification will still be recognised. A training organisation that meets the required standards of industry has a code. Ours is 40879.
Reputation: Look for a training organisation with a good reputation in the industry. Check out Google reviews and ratings and seek recommendations from friends or colleagues who have completed courses successfully.
Course content : Compare the course content and delivery methods of different training organisations to find one that best suits your learning style and career goals. We only deliver our content face to face as we believe you need to have a strong person-centred approach for the care industry and you don’t get that training sat in front of a computer screen at home!
Course duration and flexibility: Check the course duration and study support. Make sure training will fit in with your schedule and lifestyle. We offer training 2 days per week which means you can still balance work/life whilst you study.
Cost: Compare the costs of different training organisations to ensure you are getting value for money. However, don't compromise quality for price. There are a lot of free courses being offered but this does not mean you are getting a quality outcome.
Support services: Take steps to ensure you are not just a number to them. A good training organisation care of their students and offers holistic support.
By considering these factors and doing your research, you can find the right training organization to complete your Certificate III in Individual Support and set yourself up for a successful career in the industry.
